International Conference WASTES2023

From the 6 to the 8 of September Frontsh1p project was presented by the hand of our partner LNEG at the 6th edition of the WASTES Event held in Coimbra, Portugal. During these three days a poster was displayed entitled “Mapping municipal solid waste to boost circular valorisation practices in Łódzkie”.

62nd ERSA Congress

Frontsh1p project was presented by the hand of our partner University of Lodz at the 62th edition of the ERSA Congress on “Urban Challenges and Sustainable Technological Revolution” held in Alicante, Spain. Two topics were discussed: CircuPuncture – Strategy for building a Circular Territorial Cluster; and Obstacles to implementing a circular economy – Poland vs. the Netherlands.

General Assembly

(13-14/06/2023)

On the  13 and 14 of June Frontsh1p General Assembly took place in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, hosted by the province of Friesland and the Circulair Friesland Association. All members of the consortium were gathered together to present and discuss the progress made so far and set the course for future actions.

EU Green Week Event

Frontsh1p participated in the EU Green Week event at the  Lodzkie House in Brussels together with its sister projects CIRCULAR FOAM, Agro2Circular & EcoeFISHent.

There were brief project presentations, a panel discussion and a Q&A session. Fabio Magrassi from STAM s.r.l, project partner and WP7 Leader, handled presentation, while Kamil Maszczyk from K-FLEX, project coordinator and WP6 Leader, joined the panel discussion.

Third workshop Gmina Parzęczew

At the Regional Cluster meeting in Parzęczew were discussed the challenges faced by project participants from K-FLEX, the Technical University of Lodz, the University of Lodz, the OPUS Centre and UG in Parzęczew, including how to manage biodegradable waste, which is one of the main tasks in the project.

Second workshop Gmina Parzęczew

In this workshop, we explored the idea of a local eco-currency to unite individuals and organizations in environmental efforts, fostering a circular economy mindset where waste transforms into valuable resources. Participants included Frontsh1p project partners: Parzęczew Municipality, Bzura Intercommunal Association, University of Lodz, and OPUS Centre.

Representatives from the University of Łódź, BZURA Intercommunal Association, OPUS Centre, and the Municipality Office met to create tools for promoting the circular economy, including item reuse, educational pathways, local leader training, and workshops.
